Well-known, that practically all businessmen and top-managers are dissatisfied with a management efficiency own time. Therefore the basic purpose of strategic management of own time usually consists in achievement and success preservation – financial, material, professional and social; thus it is considered, that the happiness will come simultaneously with success. Differently, the more successfully (more richly, above on a social / professional ladder, "знаменитее") the person, the it or it is happier.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), this postulate is denied by the evident and numerous facts.

So, that the most prestigious and highly paid trade in the USA the trade of the lawyer / of the lawyer (lawyer) is well-known. It would be logical to assume, what exactly this trade is "happiest" (differently, the share of happy people in this trade should be essentially above "average", and also in comparison with representatives of other trades).

Actually, the opposite situation takes place. The share of alcoholics and addicts, and also suffering mental frustration among lawyers / of lawyers in the USA is the highest among all trades that says that lawyers / lawyers are just least happy (in comparison with representatives of other trades).

One more indicative fact. In the late eighties the American scientists-psychologists have carried out research of several hundreds "celebrities" to define, who from them is the happiest.

To their inexpressible surprise, (and with the big separation) it has appeared the happiest Mother Tereza (nowadays the dead), which vein in the extremely constrained and uncomfortable (to put it mildly) conditions and practically devoted all free time to heavy, wearisome and absolutely "not prestigious" work; thus all its property found room in a small sac, and "standard of living" was simply beggarly (and it is still very softly told). Other "celebrities" (rich, known, "abrupt", "glamour" etc.) have appeared, to put it mildly, very much and very unfortunate.

And objectivity of these results it is easy to be convinced of justice if to esteem, on the one hand, the book written by Mother Terezoj, its biography and interview to it, and to another – notorious "society column" and detailed biographies of "celebrities of global scale», delight being a subject, adoration, a worship and envy of inhabitants.

«Howard Hughes's syndrome»

Hardly probable not an ideal example of the person unusually successful and so unusually and deeply unfortunate is one of the most outstanding businessmen ХХ of century – Howard Hughes (the interested person personally to be convinced of it I recommend to look a film "Pilot" and to familiarise with Hughes's biography which can be found easily in the Internet).

This syndrome (repeatedly described in various articles) consists that the businessmen who have put before self really "other-wordly" purpose, long-term persistent (and, that is important, fair) work reached it («having ascended to top of the Everest»), face not with «the marvellous, fine and happy new world» (as it seemed to them "before"), and with «gaping emptiness», with a huge and terrible chasm with which they are simply compelled to fill «than it is necessary» - at the best new achievements (if it will turn out). If is not present, the person risks to turn to "workaholic", «ploughing not lifting a head» any more for the sake of result, and for the sake of the process which influence on the person becomes something like gambling.

In the worst case – participation in senseless both empty "public" projects and actions, in not less empty and senseless (though also "abrupt" and "glamour") parties, mad (and even simply severe and brutal) extreme entertainments, infinite "love" (however, it is usually pure sexual) adventures, impetuous and mad приобретательством (a bright example is приснопамятный a gold toilet bowl in the house of the richest, "successful" and "untwisted" American TV presenter of Opera Уинфри), gamblings, and even simply alcohol, drugs and even membership in the extremist organisation or totalitarian sect (a bright example - Tom Cruise who has strongly fallen under influence of sect сайентологов). Curiously (though it is very sad), that practically each totalitarian sect exists on money at least one extremely successful (in financial, professional and social sense) the person (though and not necessarily "celebrities").

Unfortunately, all these «unhealthy fillers» have one unpleasant property – they submit to the law of human psychology: «repeating impressions become dull».

Differently, "chasm" absorbs "filler" so quickly, that for its "filling" it is necessary to use more and more strong sensations, that, in turn, is constant (sometimes gradually, sometimes - in steps) increases loading by a human body and mentality, gradually destroying them (last years Howard Hughes's lives see).

Therefore in order to avoid realisation of it extremely the unpleasant scenario it is necessary to find alternative «healthy наполнитель».

Love – unique «healthy наполнитель»

Fortunately, such "material" exists. It well-known, is universal, that is approaches any businessman, without dependence from religious beliefs (or absence of those), and is popular. A name to it – Love - in universal, universal sense.

Therefore for management optimisation by own time it is necessary, that each action, the decision, a choice of the businessman every minute, hour, day, week, month, year was one or several displays of Love.

Love to the God (for people religious), to itself, to the spouse (spouse), to children, to the parents, to near (to "interested persons"), to True, to the Business, to the country, a city, to the nature (first of all, to «to brothers our smaller»), to Mankind …

Though about love to to speak like as though and it is not accepted, in it there is nothing bad for one of the major precepts of Christianity (which hardly can be suspected of goodwill to egoism) demands «to love near as itself» (that is to love and too).

Importance of correct system of priorities

In an ideal, of course, it would be desirable «to love all and at once», but in a reality it, certainly, it is impossible (owing to inevitable restrictions on time, resources etc.). Therefore at drawing up of the personal calendar for day, week, month, year it is necessary to allocate first of all time and other resources for the God and Church (if the person is religious), families, other spiritually close people, then – for care, mercy and charity for those «our near» which require our help, care and support, then – for itself (for physical development, consumption of products and services etc.), then – for business and only then – for all the rest.

All the same, in all honesty, we are called (the nature or Supreme, it to whom as is pleasant) not to live more to work, and to work to live - and to love. Unfortunately, too many – both businessmen, and "inhabitants" - «put a cart ahead of a horse», confuse the purpose to means and allow «to a tail to twirl by a dog». That, actually, also explains that sad fact, that on the Earth so few happy people and so it is a lot of – unfortunate …

Importance of Love to the near

For "socially active" person (and businessmen, certainly, that concern in specificity of the employment and a way of life) management of the time is substantially management of mutual relations with people. Therefore exclusively important there is a love to near, that is, to all "interested persons" or "counterparts" (in the broad sense of the word) on which words, decisions and actions of the businessman make essential impact.

One of key displays of love to near is orientation to creation of the maximum volume of "cumulative value» (financial, functional, emotional and spiritual) for "interested persons". It is possible to show (Cheremnyh O. S see. Cheremnykh С.В, "Strategic corporate reengineering: protsessno-cost the approach to a business management". - М: "the finance and the Statistics", 2005), that the objective basic purpose of management of any organisation / structure (both commercial, and state, and noncommercial) is maximisation of the cumulative value created by this organisation for all "interested persons" - legal and physical.

Therefore display of love to near (by maximisation of the cumulative value created by the businessman for its or its "interested persons") not only does not harm to efficiency of the organisation under control to the businessman, but, on the contrary, provides the maximum harmony ("synergy") between interests of the businessman and its or its organisations (and harmony, as is known, is one of necessary conditions of happiness).

Therefore at drawing up of the personal plan for day, week, month, year it is necessary to give prime attention to those actions and decisions which create the maximum volume of cumulative value for corresponding "interested persons" of the businessman (certainly, in decreasing order of the importance of these "interested persons" for the businessman – see above).

«Principle Парето» and as with it to struggle

Thus, certainly, it is necessary to remember constantly about notorious «principle Парето», which else fairly name «the law of wrong distribution» (time, efforts, resources etc.). In the appendix to creation of cumulative value and management of time this principle establishes that sad fact, that people (and the organisations), as a rule (actually, practically always), spend 20 % of time for decisions and actions, which create 80 % of cumulative value … And then 80 % of time - on creating only 20 % of cumulative value.

Therefore it is necessary to "turn" this unpleasant law at least; differently, so to operate time, to spend at least 80 % of time on as much as possible effective (from the point of view of creation of cumulative value) decisions and actions («key generators of value») and no more than 20 % - for less effective. By the way, it will allow to overcome one more obstacle in a way fortunately – vanity (by sharp reduction of quantity of affairs at the expense of ineffective from the point of view of creation of cumulative value).

«A gold rule»: importance of correct understanding and correct application

To create really greatest possible volume of cumulative value for "interested persons", it is necessary to learn correctly to apply широкоизвестное (and actively propagandised and all basic religions, and modern secular ideology) «a gold rule»: «Do for others that you want that did for you».

Thus it is necessary to remember constantly and one of basic laws of human psychology: «the Perception the person of a reality for it also is a reality».

One of most popular beliefs of businessmen is the deep belief that «the successful person» from it (or from it) money, material benefits and «the help in the decision of everyday problems» first of all are necessary to the most close people. Yes, all it is necessary, but is far not first of all.

And first of all our most close and favourite people – to the wife / to the husband, children, parents, brothers / to sisters - need an embodiment of our Love to them not in money or material benefits (and at all in «the decision of problems»), and in that time which we spend with them, in warm and kind words, in heat, loving dialogue, our sympathy, empathy, compassion. Differently, for our most native, favourite and close people emotional and spiritual value of mutual relations is much more important material – financial and functional.

Importance of a principle of "incorrigible optimism»

Speaking about a reality (is more exact, about an objective reality), it is necessary to notice, that any which even have been as much as possible carefully thought over and made personal plans should be changed as a result of uncontrollable us of external events (sometimes favorable, sometimes - is not present). It is Thus obvious, that "adverse" external events (which for some reason usually it appears much more, than "favorable") cause in us rather unpleasant emotions, to put it mildly, not contributing to our happiness.

Unfortunately, we far not always have possibility to prevent "adverse" external events. But not to suppose negative emotions (or, at least, quickly them to replace on positive) to us quite on forces. For this purpose it is necessary to follow only to "a principle of incorrigible optimism», according to which in each event, even, at first sight, adverse (certainly, except for really tragical events – heavy illness, a trauma etc.), it is necessary to be able to find or prevention of even more adverse event, or possibility to make one more step on a way or "success" - financial, material, professional, social, - or for spiritual development. And to introduce corresponding corrective amendments in short-term and / or long-term personal plans.

Importance and methods of disposal of sins and development of virtues

If attentively to look narrowly to "healthy" and "unhealthy" «наполнителям» it becomes obvious, that «healthy наполнитель» (that is Love) it is directly connected with so-called "virtues", and "unhealthy" - with that, as religious, and the secular consciousness calls "sins". Therefore for «happiness finding» it is necessary to develop constantly in itself key virtues and to get rid of the most "harmful" sins.

According to the list made still in VI century by then Pope Grigory Velikim, to such sins the arrogance, avidity, envy, anger, lust, gluttony and laziness concern. For the last centuries the public consciousness so has got used to it to "the black list», what even the modern secular outlook quite with it agrees.

According to polls, to the aforementioned list now add vanity, cruelty, hatred, dishonesty, hypocrisy, greed, prodigality and egoism which can be perceived as "derivative" of one or several "classical" sins more often.

Seven "mortal" sins are resisted by seven key virtues – Love, mercy, modesty, care / attention, generosity, self-control and moral cleanliness. These virtues are necessary for cultivating, supporting and developing constantly (by acceptance of corresponding decisions and performance of corresponding actions – «kind thought, a kind word, kind business») while they do not become so natural as breath for the businessman.

In precisely same way it is necessary to get rid and from sins – to make the decision and to make actions, not «giving in to a sin temptation», and, on the contrary, counter to these temptations, the temptation will not disappear yet, and the sin does not become simply unpleasant.

At the heart of this method (which efficiency is confirmed by experience of thousand and thousand people within centuries and even millenia) very simple psychological mechanism lays. As is known, the "usual" person (both "inhabitant", and "businessman") approximately makes 80 % of the actions "unconsciously". Differently, 80 % of actions of such person are supervised not by consciousness («rational thinking»), and subconsciousness which "is constantly programmed and"will be reprogrammed"as external influences (events, books, mass-media, acts of other people etc.), and actions, thoughts and decisions of the person.

As, as a rule, human subconsciousness «is guilty, than virtuously» more likely, the most part of human thoughts, words and acts are also more likely guilty, than are virtuous. And, hence, the person is unfortunate more likely, than is happy.

To change this situation, it is necessary to develop virtues and to counteract temptations «kind thought, a kind word and kind business» which regular repetition "will gradually reprogram" subconsciousness «from a sin in virtue». Thus, through the certain time of purposeful spiritual development given the subconsciousness already will generate not so sinful, and virtuous thoughts, words and acts (thereby doing the person happier).

Importance of construction of "the happy company»

The person cannot exist out of a society, therefore completely happy it (or it) can be only in «the happy environment». It is obvious also, that the businessman (the owner of business) possesses all necessary possibilities to construct the company according to the requirements.

Therefore one of the major problems of a strategic business management is construction and preservation of "the happy company».
