Hundred thousand our compatriots serve the sex industry

At present discrimination of women which make 53 % of the general population of Ukraine, occurs in economic, political, cultural spheres, and especially in a daily life. The leader of the Ukrainian communists Peter Simonenko has declared it, answering a question of journalists concerning recommendations of parliamentary hearings «the Equal rights and equal possibilities of women in Ukraine: realities and prospects», are informed by press-service KPU.

According to Simonenko, today every fifth woman falls a victim of house violence and is not provided with appropriate legal aid from the state. Level of wages of the woman makes two thirds of the salary of men which occupy similar posts. And this direct infringement of constitutional laws, Simonenko has underlined.

The leader of communists has stated concern, that for years of independence of the population of Ukraine was reduced almost to 6 million persons, and 7 million wander the world in search of work. «The majority of labour migrants - women. Hundred thousand our compatriots serve the sex industry, and at those to whom has carried to be pulled out from slavery, the mentality is broken, health is undermined, the belief in the future» is lost, - has noted Simonenko. The compelled earnings break families, promote distribution of an alcoholism, a narcotism, distributions of AIDS and other social illnesses, leader КПУ has declared.
