In the USA data of the new research devoted to secrets of family happiness are published. Since 1990 the percent of the Americans considering has sharply decreased, that children are very important for a happy matrimony. As it has appeared, more and more people consider, that a key to family happiness - division of house duties.

According to last research in which course more than 2000 Americans have been interrogated by phone, presence of children less important for marriage, than such factors, as work division on the house, good housekeeping, the sufficient income, happy sexual mutual relations and fidelity.

If in 1990 65 % of respondents thought, that children are of great importance for family happiness, now so considers only 41 %. About three of four Americans are convinced, that a marriage main objective - mutual happiness and satisfaction of adults, instead of a birth and education of children.

Analysts believe, that the mass culture is guided by satisfaction of desires and imaginations of adults more and more. In comparison with them, the values connected with children: the care, stability, self-return, - seem become outdated and banal.

Also such result is caused by that the state helps young families which wish to have children insufficiently. It is a question, in particular, of granting to the father or mother of paid holiday on care of the child and subsidising of children's public health services. "If the family represents for us value, we should change conditions surrounding it", - Virginia Раттур has told the professor of sociology from the State college of the State of Massachusetts.
